Kathleen Scotto on kickstarting your career in scientific research

Kathleen Scotto is the Vice Chancellor for Research and Training at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (NJ, USA). Scotto’s research investigates the regulation of drug-resistant genes that impact the sensitivity of cancer cells to therapeutic agents. Alongside her role in research, Scotto is also Chair of the American Association of Cancer research’s (AACR) Science Education and Career Advancement Committee and is committed to training a new generation of excellent and diverse scientific leaders and contributors.
