Plant and climate science
We are living amid a crucial time for our planet. Human activities have had great impacts on the health of our planet, from climate change and rising global temperatures due to increased greenhouse gas emissions, to over farming as a result of growing populations.
As the cause of these crises, we must now innovate to develop solutions. These solutions will involve alternative foods, genetically modified crops, methods to reduce the amount of atmospheric CO2, monitoring plant growth to observe and act upon the detrimental impacts of changing environments and new applications of plant science to reduce the impacts of climate change.
