Sartorius launches new product: Sartobind® Rapid A Lab
- Integrates seamlessly into existing workflows and streamlines your process
- Delivers rapid purification through the industry’s fastest Protein A matrix
- Reliably captures antibodies with or without a dedicated chromatography system
- Increases productivity with significantly higher lifetime yield than any resin column
- Simplifies commercialization on the same matrix that is available in process formats
The life science group Sartorius (Göttingen, Germany) is launching Sartobind® Rapid A Lab, the latest innovation in our portfolio of laboratory separation technologies. Featuring the fastest Protein A matrix on the market, this groundbreaking affinity chromatography unit is set to deliver unparalleled productivity and transform antibody purification processes.
Sartobind® Rapid A Lab brings the next generation of chromatography membranes to research scientists. Each plug-and-play unit is ready for use in benchtop purification or rapid cycling applications without the need for buffer degassing, while supporting simultaneous prefiltration and loading to reduce workflow steps. With a membrane that is resistant to blocking and exhibits no increase in backpressure, it can be reliably used with a syringe, pump or liquid chromatography system for 100 purification cycles. This results in up to 17 times higher antibody yields over the consumable lifetime when compared to resin columns.
“Efficiency is critical in the development of new biological therapies, but column chromatography creates bottlenecks in the purification workflow,” explains John Cashman, Product Manager for Lab Chromatography at Sartorius. “Implementing efficient technologies early on can lead to time savings and increased yields across the entire process, from early research to molecule development and ultimately in commercial production. With Sartobind® Rapid A Lab, we have combined our high-performance membrane with a proven pressure filter format to deliver higher yields in less than 3 minutes. And because the membrane is process-ready, we can also support our customers to commercialize their most promising targets more conveniently and efficiently.”
Sartobind® Rapid A Lab replaces the long-standing and successful Sartobind® Protein A Lab and represents a major step forward for membrane chromatography, to support researchers who need a faster, more flexible and future-proof solution for antibody purification.
