David Craik (left) is a Professor of Chemistry at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland (UQ; Brisbane, Australia). He is also the Director of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Innovations in Peptide and Protein Science, which is based at UQ but has a national facility across six universities in Australia. His research focuses on peptides and proteins, and their applications in drug design and medicine.
