Meet the pioneer of cancer immunotherapies


Steven Rosenberg (left) is a Senior Investigator and Chief of the Surgery Branch at the National Cancer Institute (NCI; MD, USA). Rosenberg pioneered the development of effective immunotherapies for patients with advanced cancer, with his work contributing to IL-2, TIL and CAR-T therapies. Rosenberg recently won the 2024 AACR Award for Lifetime Achievement in Cancer Research, and we got the chance to sit down with him to talk about his fascinating career and the techniques that have shaped it.
