Webinar: Comparing fluorescence and trypan blue automated cell counting

What’s the best method for assessing cell viability?
Trypan blue is widely used in cell culture labs for selectively staining dead cells and tissues, but some sample types present challenges for accurately assessing cell counts and viability. For these samples, a fluorescence assay such as acridine orange / propidium iodide (AO/PI) is a simple and highly accurate alternative.
In this webinar, DeNovix Scientific Director Dan Schieffer demonstrates both brightfield and fluorescence methods of cell counting and viability assessment using a CellDrop™ Automated Cell Counter and discusses when each method should be applied.
What this webinar includes:
- Review of trypan blue and fluorescence techniques
- Overview of the CellDrop DirectPipette™ Technology
- Live cell count and viability measurements
