The severity of COPD in patients can be predicted using nanoparticles
Researchers have developed a technique to assess the severity of COPD in patients by measuring how quickly nanoparticles move through mucus samples. The technique could be used to help with treatment delivery in the future. Scientists from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM; MD, USA) are able to successfully determine the severity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in patients through the use of nanoparticles.
