HIV vaccine optimized using DNA origami

Researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT; MA, USA) have used DNA particles to design HIV-like particles using a DNA origami technique, which could be used as a HIV vaccine in the future. As DNA is a highly programmable molecule, scientists are able to manipulate it in a technique termed ‘DNA origami’ to develop molecules that can be used for applications such as drug delivery.
