BioTek’s LogPhase 600 Microbiology Reader measures growth curves in multiple microplates

BioTek (VT, USA) has unveiled its LogPhase 600 Microbiology Reader – a new class of microplate reader ideal for yeast and bacterial growth assays, studies into antimicrobial resistance and biofuels, and food and beverage testing.

The only four-plate reader built to perform microbial growth curve analysis, the LogPhase 600 should enable increased throughput, reduce cost and take up less space on the lab bench.

The reader also provides consistent environmental conditions to support high-quality absorbance results without growth curve artifacts – including in bacterial or yeast assays with extended incubation periods.

The reader can be controlled using the easy-to-use LogPhase 600 App, which also captures and analyzes data. Multi-plate results can also be viewed simultaneously.
