Investigating the blood-brain barrier

Introducing our In Focus on neuroscience, this video provides an overview of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and demonstrates how it could be implicated in different diseases of the central nervous system (CNS), including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Further investigation of the BBB could provide new avenues for treatment of currently-incurable CNS diseases, therefore novel technologies, such as single-cell and spatial analysis, are crucially needed.
