Improving the efficiency and ease-of-use of synthetic biology
The development of efficient bioinformatic and gene editing tools over the past decade has dramatically increased the power of synthetic biology, making it a promising solution for some of the world’s most pressing issues. However, genetic engineering requires many techniques that remain technically complex and challenging, often slowing down research and development and making it difficult for labs with minimum resources and/or expertise to carry out. Over the years, Zymo Research has developed simple and efficient off-the-shelf solutions for these methods that can accelerate discovery and lower the barrier of entry for researchers with minimal experience in molecular biology.
