Stephen studied for his PhD at the John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford, UK). Subsequently, he pursued academic research in the field of neurodegeneration in both the USA and UK. He has since held a variety of technical positions in commercial companies and joined 10X Genomics in 2018.
