Could a new app – iGenomics – bring DNA sequencing analysis out of the lab and into your pocket – or even into space? A new technology hailed – in a nod to sci-fi – as the ‘world’s first DNA “tricorder”’ and developed at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL; NY, USA) is promising to take DNA analysis out of the lab and into your pocket.
