Launched in 1990, The Human Genome Project was a monumental effort to sequence and analyze the entire human genome to understand how genetics influence health. While the Human Genome Project helped put DNA sequencing on the map, we often overlook the tool that played a critical role in ensuring researchers were able to collect and analyze all the sequence information the project generated – the DNA microarray.
